If you’re like me every time you come up with a killer idea the first thing you do is go and register the domain name.

I always have to make sure that I secure the web address so no one else can steal it.

Seth Godin recently mentioned Wordoid.com as a suggestion tool for domains. It helps you find available domains that include your keyword. Check it out.

Burdened with Potential

Seth Godin recently posted a short note about settling. He argues that settling is a choice that one makes every single day. I couldn’t agree more.

When I worked for Hansen & Horn Bryan Flanagan from Ziglar Training Systems once told me that I was “burdened with potential.” He commented that I knew I had unlimited potential but that I needed to work within the confines of my life and grow over time. He told me to “grow where I was planted” and be ready when the time came for a bigger pot.

I truly believe that I am special. I have been blessed with many great gifts from above and I thank God every day for the opportunities that He has put in front of me.

But I’m reminded of a quote from Seth’s book where he references Flynn Berry. Flynn tells us to never use the word opportunity. It’s not an opportunity, it’s an obligation.

I have an obligation to change the rules, to raise the bar, to play the game better than anyone has the right to believe is possible.
